Mission Statement

Who We Are
Central Asia Sharing Aid (CASA) is a Christian humanitarian  organization  founded in 2000, committed to the well being and spiritual renewal of Central Asian people, especially children. Through education, health care, economic development, building international awareness and understanding, and other charitable activities, CASA. helps children and communities help themselves.  Our mission is carried out in Kyrgyzstan by our international partner,  MCCF, which is Mercy Charitable Christian Foundation (YRAIYIM), a not-for-profit public foundation.

Our goal is to care for, educate and equip children from elementary grades through higher education with academic knowledge, Christian moral ethics, life and work skills, so they can find future employment and contribute to the well being of their communities.  We are working hard to reach our goal.

Established in 2000 to care for the orphans and needy children of Kyrgyzstan, MCCF’s ministry has expanded to include Christian schools, & orphanages, a school for the disabled, an experimental farm, plans for a pediatric medical and dental clinic, plans for a vocational/technical college, plans for a future Central Asian Christian University,  and promoting economic development in Kyrgyzstan through the sister city program between Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan and Rockford, Illinois.

Vision Statement
The light of Christ will shine throughout Central Asia.

Mission Statement
CASA‘s  mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and needy,  to promote human transformation, seek goodwill and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Core Values
These core values are the fundamental and guiding principles that determine CASA's  actions.

We are Christian
We acknowledge one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus the love, mercy and grace of God are made known to us and all people. We seek to follow Jesus - in his identification with the poor, the powerless, the afflicted, the oppressed, in his special concern for children; in his respect for the dignity bestowed equally on women and men; in his call to share resources with each other; in his love for all people without discrimination or conditions; in his offer of new life through faith in him.  We hear his call to servant hood, and to humility. We maintain our Christian identity while being sensitive to the diverse culture in which we express that identity.

We are committed to the poor
We are called to serve and educate needy children in Central Asia, by establishing schools, medical clinics, and other charitable projects.

We seek to facilitate the donations from more affluent societies to the poorer countries of Central Asia that opens both to transformation.  We bring visitors from North America and Asia to Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries, so they can share their resources and open their hearts to give to those less fortunate, and be transformed themselves.  Our children in our schools are transformed by their education and the love and care we give them.  Our local workers, many of them poor single mothers, are transformed by the ability to earn a livelihood in a Christian environment.  The need for transformation is common to all.  Together we share a quest for justice, peace, reconciliation, and healing in a broken world.

We value people
We regard all people as created and loved by God.  We act in ways that respect dignity, uniqueness, and intrinsic worth of every person – people without means and with means, those of a different faith or nationality, donors, our staff and their families, board members, and volunteers. We seek understanding and celebrate the richness of diversity in human personality, culture and contribution.

We are stewards
The resources at our disposal are not our own. They are a trust from God through donors on behalf of those we serve.  We speak and act honestly.  We are open and factual in our dealings with donors, project communities, governments and the public at large.  We are independently audited every year.  We demand of ourselves high standards of financial accountability.

We are partners
We are partners with other Christian organizations and with donors in a shared ministry.  We pursue relationships with all churches and desire mutual participation in ministry. We maintain a cooperative stance and a spirit of openness towards other humanitarian organizations and government agencies.

Funding for CASA
CASA raises most of its funds through churches and Christians in North America, Asia and other parts of the world.  CASA is also seeking governmental and private and public foundation funding.  CASA is a 501-C3 tax exempt organization, independently audited each year.  We strive to be good stewards and transfer approximately 98% of donations to the mission field in Kyrgyzstan.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
