This project was requested by the local Tokmok government to help to get children off the street, especially during the summer. MCCF started construction in 2004 with donations from CASA, Kids Around the World, First Assembly of God Church in Rockford, IL. and Rutgers Community Church in N.J. It is located next to Central Park and is quickly becoming a favorite for the whole community. Each day, many local children and accompanying adults of all ages and races come to play, relax, and enjoy at the park-like playground’s swings, slides, and wading pool. At the Jesus House, MCCF staff and volunteers from local churches also offer Christian movies and teach classes in Arts, Crafts, and English and Chinese languages. Throughout the year, we use this facility to host evangelical events with the help of the locals and short term mission teams from outside Kyrgyzstan. Consequently, many children and their families hear about Jesus and some of them start to attend local churches on Sundays.
At the request of the Kara Balta mayor we plan to build a playground in the Lenin Central Park, if God is willing. This will be in collaboration with Kids Around the World.
