We are currently responsible for local employment of 300 teachers and school staff and 35 administrative foundation workers who serve alongside us, missionaries. MCCF provides spiritual teaching for our school children, and food, shelter and medical care for our orphans and needy students.
In addition to teaching the regular curriculum required by all public schools, we also teach English, computer, and Bible Studies. We believe that God’s Word can influence the children’s hearts and transform their lives. We have seen the fruits of our labor: our graduates have moved on to become pastors, or returned to us as teachers/coworkers, or are serving in other Christian organizations. We continue to pray that our students will become future leaders, influencing, impacting not only their country but also the surrounding Muslim nations.
Since 2007, MCCF began to increase the number of classes in its existing schools and orphanages. If God is willing, MCCF will build more new schools and orphanages in the poor areas of Kyrgyzstan.
Our latest school is a Kyrgyz Village School that opened on 9/2008 in Jarbashy Village, the hometown of the former Mayor of Tokmok. This is the first Christian school ever built in a Kyrgyz village where the population is 100% Muslim.
The school was meant to start in 9/2007, but we encountered much opposition which delayed its opening for a year. Now the school is regarded as a blessing by all: the students, their parents, and the local government.
For years, Elder Yang has been working toward his vision to provide higher education to students of Kyrgyzstan. In 2006 - 2008, MCCF purchased an old medical school extension building and converted it into the Professional Institute. The goal is to become the best technical Institute in Kyrgyzstan with a 90% employment rate for her graduates. Initially, the Institute will accept up to a maximum of 200 students, with 60 living in the dormitory. PIY will offer majors in agriculture, business management, languages, accounting, computers, Bible studies, and other subjects. For most of us, the institute was just a dream but by God’s grace and with a great deal of hard work, prayer support, we received our license in 7/2008. PIY opened 8/25/2008 as planned with 52 college level students in attendance in two departments: business administration and linguistics. For 2009 we have been approved for three new additional departments: Information Technology ( IT), International Relations, and Chinese Studies. Our goal to transition PIY into an International Christian University that will serve the students of Central Asia is becoming a reality.
