Visa Requirements for Visitors to Kyrgyzstan

Please follow these procedures since there are not many Kyrgyz consulates around the world:

 

For passport holders of the United States, Canada and most European Countries:

  • You can obtain a one month airport visa at the Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan airport upon arrival into the country. The fees are around US $70 but please verify.

For passport holders of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong:

  1. Two months before your intended visit, e-mail MCCF (Mercy Charitable Christian Foundation) a copy of your passport, with the address of the visa application site.  Please confirm the procedure by contacting: Elder Yang, ElderCSYang@aol.com  or John Tsai, JohnPTsai@yahoo.com.
  2. After we receive your information, we will apply your request to the Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs for an approval number, which takes about 3 weeks.
  3. Once the Minister of Foreign Affairs grants an approval number, they will notify their consulate in Washington or Beijing or your country.  You can then send your passport to your designated Kyrgyz consulate for a visa.
  4. If you don’t have time for the above procedure, then we can apply for an airport visa on your behalf.  In order to do this, you must have a purchased ticket and you must advise us of your arrival time in Bishkek.  MCCF will notify airport authorities of your name, approval number, flight number and arrival date and time.  You will obtain your airport visa upon arrival.
